Fall Fur-Collar Leather Jacket

Hi! I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday with your family, friends, and love ones!!! 

Yesterday I was in the mood to wear leather with leather, but sometimes these combinations can be intimidating. Also, it wasn’t appropriate for a casual wear. Thus, I decided to double up a leather jacket with waxed pants and toned it down a little with a soft and cozy sweater! I finished the look with a bold lipstick that I don’t normally wear. It was the perfect chance as both have a lot of attitude!

Of all things that you can invest in leather, a jacket is the most versatile and timeless! Therefore, I like to share some tips of how to find the perfect fit when you are shopping online. I usually look for jackets that trim in a bit at the waist rather than the straight cut. I find that slimmer style will make you look more feminine by highlighting your torso and waist and more versatile since you can throw it over a pretty dress. I usually don’t wear heavy layers under my leather. Therefore, I always go a size smaller to make sure it hugs the shoulders and not hangs over them as this can cause your shoulders to look broader. This is always a problem for me!!! I also prefer the arms to be more fitted and the sleeves length to hit around the wrist line. Regarding the length of the jacket, it should hits around your waist because any shorter, you’ll end looking bulky; any longer, you’ll end up looking short. 

I also look for little details like zipper, button, or pockets placement. These things can change the look of your jacket. For instance, zipper on the sleeves can expose some cute details of your top or your arm candy by unzipping and rolling up the sleeves.  Also, choose a collar that is in perfect sync with your height as a raised collar can make you look shorter. Here, my collar has detachable fur, which is a great accessory for fall/winter.
